- What qualifications do I need for doing Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV) Introductory Course 1? Answer: Successful completion of secondary school ( CSEC Certificate ) is preferred but the course is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the five basic human values for one’s own transformation; and for persons wishing to serve in implementing SSEHV in the community or in their classroom.
- What is the goal of SSEHV? Answer: Its goal is “The end of education is character.” (Founder, SSEHV)
- Who is the Founder of the SSEHV Program? Answer: The Founder of the SSEHV Program is Sri Sathya Sai Baba (1926-2011), one of the world’s most renowned educators.
- What has the Founder said about education, in a nutshell? Answer: “Education is not for mere living; it is for life, a fuller life, a more meaningful, a more worthwhile life.” “Education is not acquisition of burdensome information regarding objects and men. It is the awareness of the immortal spirit within, which is the spring of joy, peace and courage.”
- What is EDUCARE? Answer: EDUCARE is the philosophy underlying Sathya Sai Education. It means “to bring out” our innate goodness.
- Is the SSEHV Course offered via face-to-face learning? Answer: It is offered virtually only at this point in time (2021).
- Do I need teaching certification to teach SSEHV in the community? Answer: You need to complete SSEHV Course 1 to work in a community organization. The program must be approved by and registered with the Sai Institute of Education West Indies (SIEWI).
- Does the SIEWI offer a parenting program? Answer: Yes, it offers a program that is comprised of a series of workshops – the Sathya Sai Education in Human Values Dynamic Parenting Program (SSEHV DP).
- When is the Parenting Program offered? Answer: It is scheduled for January- April 2022. The SIEWI will try to keep a January to April schedule annually.
- Is there a cost attached to courses/programs offered by the SIEWI? Answer: There is no cost attached to any program.
