What We Do

As an educational institution, the SIEWI will offer SSEHV training programs and provide professional guidance, oversight and support to all Sathya Sai educational institutions in the West Indies as approved by the SSIO EC.

1. Training Activities
The SIEWI will undertake training of teachers and teacher trainers who are preparing themselves for, or are already teaching SSEHV in Sathya Sai Schools, partnership schools and in SSEHV community programs. Teacher training for Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) offered by the SSIO may be undertaken upon specific request by the SSIO. Training also relates to parenting and continuous professional development for the teachers of Sathya Sai Schools, partnership schools and SSEHV community projects. Training activities will be undertaken in accordance with the SSSWF Guidelines for Training Programs.

2. Professional Support to Sathya Sai Schools in the West Indies
The SIEWI will work in accordance with the SSSWF Guidelines for Sathya Sai Schools.
Educational Resources Development for ECCE Centres
The SIEWI will develop the appropriate EDUCARE teaching and learning resources for use in the government -assisted Sathya Sai ECCE Centres on a termly basis. It will ensure that all teaching and learning resources authentically reflect the core principles of the EDUCARE philosophy. This termly document will be made available to the Sathya Sai Primary School as well.

3. Professional Support to Partnership Schools in introducing SSEHV
The SIEWI will seek to forge partnerships with public and private schools for the purpose of integrating Sathya Sai Education in Human Values in the curriculum, the classroom and the daily activities (including co-curricular) of the school.

Provide support, guidance and supervision to all SSEHV Programs in schools

Ensure sustainability and promote the quality of the SSEHV Program

Support individual professional teachers who have done Course 1 or Course 1 and 11 and are interested in taking SSEHV into their classroom

Support non-professional school volunteers who have done Course 1 or Course 1 and 2.

4. SSEHV in the Community
The SIEWI will forge relationships within the community for purposes of providing SSEHV Programs to children, parents, youth and adults.

Support and provide oversight of SSEHV Program initiatives within the local Sri Sathya Sai Organization.

5. SSEHV Partnership Establishment with other Educational Institutions and Public Bodies
The SIEWI may establish contact, raise awareness on SSEHV and develop partnerships with other public and educational institutions for the promotion of SSEHV in the community, with the approval of the SSIO EC.

6. Educational Research
The SIEWI may undertake research activities with the objective of understanding how SSEHV contributes to sustainable social, economic and environmental development and global peace.
